Tara Towler-Cumby, MA LPC CPCS

Tara specializes in working with women who have survived abuse, neglect, addictions and trauma. Her focus is working with the client to change unhealthy behaviors and thoughts. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a proven and reliable type of therapy that focuses on the behavior and

Thought process of the adult. Tara works with specific women who have suffered a Pregnancy loss, Postpartum and termination of pregnancy. Tara assists mothers in general who are struggling with changes of being a mom, anxiety and depression. Tara works with addictions concerns in both men and women. Addictions can reach far into our daily lives and affect everyone around us. Using Cognitive Behavior Therapy to assist a client to coming to terms with their addiction and take a healthy lead in their life. 

In addition she works with teens. The core of her work is to use Trauma Focused Therapy which is specific to the child or adolescent. This type of therapy is ideal for a child or adolescent expressing emotional or behavioral problems related to a traumatic event. These behaviors sometimes are linked with compulsive behaviors such as alcohol, drugs, sex and gambling. Tara graduated from Argosy University with a Master Degree in Professional Counseling. In addition, she has over 14 years’ experience with addiction counseling and has 8 years’ experience working with children and teens through Cognitive Behavior Therapy, TF-CBT and play therapy. Tara Towler LPC currently incorporates Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Play therapy in her practice which assists in developing clients emotional and cognitive functions to meet their needs and goals in therapy. Also, Tara Towler-Cumby LPC is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy which is a conjoint therapy that works with the child or adolescent and their parent. Tara Towler-Cumby LPC is also a CPCS supervisor for new therapist. 


Randolph Schneider APC

Randy is a APC who is working under the direction and supervision of Tara Towler Cumby LPC CPCS. Randy works with Bi-Polar, depression and addictions clients. He also works with male who are dealing with changes in their lives. Randy enjoys working with clients who are in a transition phase in life. Randy is seeing clients in the Powers Ferry location. He offers low fee counseling to those in need. Randy offer sliding scale. He is under the supervision of Tara Towler Cumby LPC CPCS

Cari Wainio APC

Cari works with clients who are needing to work on self and life transitions. Cari uses Person Centered approach with her clients. I work with clients to build their own toolbox of self care, coping skills, and emotional management. I do this through talk therapy, relaxation techniques, and various techniques. The work with each client is individual based and client centered using your thoughts and interests. I bring warmth, kindness, and humor at times to the session with my clients.

Cari has experience working with various issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-worth/identity, family/marital conflict, and life transitions. She works with individuals, couples, and families. She states" I am very passionate about working with children, adolescents, women, and young adults."

Cari is under supervision with Tara Towler Cumby LPC CPCS. Cari is available evenings and weekends.  

Mary Bills LMSW

Mary Bills LMSW is a licensed therapist intensively trained in DBT. She works primarily with adolescents and young adults. She currently works on a DBT clinical team in one of the top residential treatment centers in the country, Hillside Hospital, serving children and families across the southeast. Mary believes that the therapeutic alliance is essential to effective treatment and values her connection with clients. She utilizes dialectical thinking, validation, and skills training to help clients struggling with depression, anxiety and mood instability. She has a Masters in Social Work and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Georgia. 

Mary enjoys reading, baking, and traveling. She loves Georgia football and sunny fall afternoons. 

Lisa Peluso, Psy. D., APC

Dr. Lisa Peluso works with a diverse population of adults and young adults. She uses an integrated approach to therapy tailored to the individual needs of her clients. She incorporates psychodynamic, interpersonal, emotion focused and cognitive behavioral therapies in her work. She views therapy as a collaborative process that promotes self-discovery and acceptance, healing and growth.


Dr. Peluso specializes in working with survivors of sexual, physical and emotional abuse. Additionally, her other areas of specialty include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship problems, mood disorders and ADHD.

Feeling safe within the therapeutic relationship is essential. Clients need to feel safe to talk about their thoughts, feelings, issues and goals. Dr. Peluso strives to provide a safe, empathic, non-judgmental environment for her clients to explore their many facets and develop healthy coping skills.


She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University (formerly the Professional School of Psychology) in Atlanta, Ga.  Lisa is under supervision with Celia Webb, LPC, CPCS.
