Find a comfortable place, somewhere you can relax and focus. When you find your place, begin to breathe and relax your body. The holidays are upon us, which can be joyous, stressful, or both. For today, we are looking at finding peace throughout this holiday season. When you are present and in your calm place, notice your breathing. Is your breath quickened or tense? If so, take a deep breath in and relax. Breathe in and relax as you exhale. Do this two times. Think of the holidays of the past. Let your mind drift to happy and calm memories. This can be remembering a holiday tradition from your childhood, or a calm moment from more recent holidays. Breathe and live in this moment from the past. Stay here as long as you need. Find peace in these memories while you are breathing in and out. When you are ready, you can slowly come back to the present. Say to yourself, “I am at peace and I am loved.”
