For the month of November, we are focusing our meditation practice on thankfulness and gratitude. Enjoy this original gratitude meditation!
Take a moment to become comfortable in your space. Once you are comfortable, let yourself begin to smile. Then begin to breathe in and out. In and out. Now, start to focus on what you are grateful for. Think about one person, place or thing you feel grateful for. While thinking of this, begin to smile and think how grateful you are for this.
Continue to breathe in and out as you think of something that you have been grateful for, but that you take for granted. This could be something small, or it can even be something in your current environment. While thinking of this, maintain awareness of your breathing.
Slowly allow yourself to become re-aware of your surroundings and think of how grateful you are for your world. Finish with a few more cycles of intentional breath.
