Today’s mediation will begin by finding a comfortable place. You can either lie down or sit comfortably in a chair. As you begin to get comfortable begin to breathe. Breathe in and out. Put your gaze on something in the room or outside. As you begin to look at this item just breathe. If your mind wanders that is fine. Where is your mind taking you? Does this feeling need to be explored or can this need to wait? Breathe and begin to let go of any stress or tightness you might be feeling. What do you feel this tightness is telling you? Can you begin to unwind this tightness? What does that look like? Think of the stress or tightness as a rubber band ball. As you breathe one band is snapping off.
Breathe and breathe. Keep yourself here until you feel the band ball becoming smaller and smaller. Once you are feeling the calmness begin to bring yourself back to awareness. Begin to look around and breathed I hope you are feeling relaxed and less stressed.
