LGBTQ+ Therapy in Atlanta & Roswell

Photo

In both Roswell and Atlanta, we provide safe spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals and families can be heard, supported, and celebrated. Our team uses evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and person-centered therapy to help clients process past hurts, navigate challenges, and build resilience.

CBT for the LGBTQ+ Community

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify and shift negative thought patterns. For LGBTQ+ clients, this can mean working through internalized stigma, managing anxiety or depression, and finding new ways to cope with stressors such as discrimination or coming out. Our goal is to help you cultivate healthier thinking patterns and greater self-confidence.

DBT & Person-Centered Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is especially supportive for clients dealing with overwhelming emotions or relationship stress. It teaches skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, and communication.

Alongside DBT, we use Person-Centered Therapy—a warm, affirming approach where you are accepted exactly as you are. This helps LGBTQ+ clients explore identity, relationships, and self-acceptance in a judgment-free space.

Coming Out

Coming Out

We are here to support you during this journey.

Discovering your sexual orientation or gender identity is a deeply personal process. For some, coming out feels empowering and freeing. For others, it can feel overwhelming, confusing, or even frightening—especially when faced with unsupportive environments. These challenges often bring up emotions such as anxiety, depression, or isolation. At times, the weight of it all can feel unbearable.

You are not alone. At Towler Counseling LLC, our compassionate therapists specialize in LGBTQ+ mental health and are here to walk beside you during every stage of the coming out process. Whether you’re questioning, sharing your truth for the first time, or continuing your journey, we can provide the encouragement and tools you need to feel safe and supported.

No matter your experience, an LGBTQ+-affirming therapist from our team can help. We invite you to explore our website for resources, read our blogs on relevant mental health topics, and get to know our caring counseling team. Together, we can create a space where you feel seen, validated, and empowered to embrace your authentic self.
