Paul Burkhalter is a Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen relationships and navigate life’s challenges. His work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and the belief that lasting change begins with genuine connection.

Paul specializes in couples therapy, family dynamics, substance abuse recovery, and men’s issues. He creates a supportive, goal-oriented environment where clients can explore patterns, rebuild trust, and develop healthier ways of relating.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Paul tailors treatment to each client’s unique goals. Clients often describe him as warm, direct, insightful, and balanced in his use of empathy, accountability, and humor. He works with clients who are wanting to work on addictive behaviors and addictions.

Paul earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2016 and completed advanced training in Marriage and Family Therapy through the Denver Family Institute. Prior to counseling, he worked as an Acoustic Engineer. Originally from Metro Atlanta, Paul enjoys sports, music, and cooking, and has been featured on Divorce Court.

Rates:

• Individuals: $200 per session

• Couples: $200–$250 per session
